When you are missing your family or the good ol’ days, it is always food that takes us back to a time past! The smells and tastes of home cooking can transport you to a place…like a nutritious time machine.
One such dish that teleports me to the days of summer long ago would be my mom’s Chipped Ham Bar-B-Q.
This sandwich was one we enjoyed at family gatherings and picnics all through Rob’s and my childhood. This is an easy dish, slightly spicy and yet a little sweet. Our friends and family will remember fondly the summer parties, as well as, the great Steeler games where we enjoyed this special sandwich.

A big shout out goes to Patty Davis, who originally gave my mom this recipe. Thank you, Patty!
